Dumpster Dimensions

Rear-load trucks service the following dumpster sizes: 1, 1.5, and 2 cubic yards. Front-load trucks service the following dumpster sizes: 3, 4, 6, and 8 cubic yards with uncompacted recycling or garbage, and 2 yard or 3 yard dumpsters with compacted recycling or garbage. Dimensions for 3 cubic yard dumpsters, and roll-off style dumpsters that contain compacted materials differ by manufacturer and the containers are not supplied by SPU.

Choosing your storage area

To have waste service at your apartment, you must have a storage area that is:

• Hard, flat and level
• Convenient for tenants and collection vehicles to access
