Youth Transportation Summit

You’re invited to the City of Seattle’s Youth Transportation Summit! A free event specifically for young adults ages 14-24.

The City of Seattle is ecstatic to host our first ever Youth Transportation Summit at the Westin Seattle. Our goal is to learn about how the pandemic has changed the transportation experiences of young people and we want to center your voices in upcoming climate responsive transportation investments! 

The summit is happening in response to Mayor Harrell’s Climate Justice Executive Order issued last Winter. The summit will build on the momentum of recent wins such as statewide implementation of free youth transit and ask youth the pivotal question: “What’s next?” 

This full day event will be separated into two portions. During the first half of the day, community experts will be presenting on topics such as transportation access, climate optimism, mobility justice, youth transportation, youth advocacy, and environmental racism. The second half of the day will be devoted to afternoon discussions to hear feedback from youth and to incorporate this feedback into the creation of the Youth Climate & Transportation Action Plan that will be delivered to Mayor Harrell.

If you are under 18, please complete and send a photo consent form to Katelyn.Saechao3@seattle.gov. Pictures of the completed form as well as paper copies delivered on the day of the event will also be accepted. You do not need to complete a photo consent form in order to attend the Summit.
