Commercial Vehicle Load Zone Permits

Commercial Vehicle Load Zones (CVLZ) are a specific type of parking area where service delivery vehicles can park. Regular truck loading and unloading zones do not adequately meet the needs of these vehicles.

How to get a Commercial Vehicle Load Zone Permit:

You can either apply online or in person:

  • To apply online, visit the Seattle Services Portal
    1. Log in to your existing account or create a new account. 
    2. Under "Create New," click "Permits- Parking & Truck."
    3. Under "Select a Permit Type," click "Commercial Vehicles and Trucks."
    4. Select "Commercial Vehicle Loading Zone - Application," and click "Continue Application." 
    5. Continue application. 
  • To apply in person, visit the Traffic and Street Use SDOT Customer Information Desk.
    • Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
    • Location: The SDOT Customer Information Desk is located on fourth floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower at 700 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.
