Tools for achieving contracting equity
SDOT uses many methods for increasing inclusion of WMBEs across all projects, including:
Inclusion Plans: The City is committed to doing business with women and minority-owned firms.
Networking Opportunities: Networking among consultants and contractors is one of the most successful methods for securing work on SDOT projects. SDOT promotes relationship-building among our project managers, consultants, and contractors through attendance at contracting forums and trade shows, networking time at Pre-Submittal meetings, and SDOT Meet and Greet events focused on consultant specialties.
