NetGen QuickStart: a 10-week summer program
Tennis is easy to learn, and Net Generation is a celebration of a game where no one sits on the sidelines. Tailored for ages 6-10 and all abilities, the program helps kids build friendships and learn skills they'll use for life. NetGen is "tennis sized right," with smaller courts and equipment to make learning easy and fun. Fun games and exciting drills help the young player develop the skills needed to become a lifelong tennis enthusiast. NetGen QuickStart is about friends, sportsmanship and fun. NetGen Happens in 12 neighborhood parks across the city.
Camps
Camps for juniors are offered during out-of-school-time breaks, which fall during the holidays, mid-winter (H.S only), and during weekly camps in the summer. Based on both age and skill levels.
NetGen Youth League Volunteers
AYTC runs the largest local youth tennis league for beginners in the region. NetGen tennis designed as a play-based and fun format for beginners from 6-10 years old. The program is offered at over 14 sites across the city of Seattle. The success of this program relies on the help of volunteers like you! In fact, the entire program is run by volunteers. You do NOT need to be a teaching pro, just love working with kids! We will train. We need people willing to volunteer one day a week or multi-week program. (We can work with your vacation schedule too.) At each site we prefer 3-5 volunteers with at most 10 kids at any one time (based on volunteers and experience). If you are interested please contact matthew.look@seattle.gov. Thank you!
