Adult Sports Teams & Programs

We've got adult sports teams and programs that range from basketball, softball and football to pickleball, roller derby, track and field and even lawn bowling. We also have boating centers, the Amy Yee Tennis Center, and a partnership with community organizations for leagues and games. To learn more about each, click on the link below. 

Drop-in LGBTQ+ Softball


Seattle Parks and Recreation is partnering with Rainbow City to offer a free softball drop-in league for the LGBTQ+ community. The season starts in August. Check back in late spring for more details. 

Roller Derby

Roller Derby is back at Magnuson Community Center! We are partnering with PFM to provide free drop-in women’s practices! You must be 18+, identify as female or nonbinary and comfortable skating in a female-centered space to participate. This training program is for all skill levels and includes roller derby training with the possibility of forming teams. Bring your equipment if you have some but no equipment is necessary. We will have loaner skates, pads, and helmets available. New Skaters must attend a new skater practice before dropping into regular practices. For more information contact pfmrollerderby@gmail.com.

Adult Drop-in Basketball

This is for all the ballers out there, come join the RUN! This free drop-in runs every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm at Rainier Community Center (4600 38th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.) 

Softball - Spring/Summer Leagues

Seattle Parks and Recreation is excited to announce registration will open in February. Adult players and teams can choose from 20 different leagues, including co-ed, men’s, and women's leagues. We are excited to get you all out for some friendly competition with your friends and family. Let’s play ball!

Registration for returning teams begins Friday, February 2, 2024. Please note, half of your 2023 rosters must return to be considered a returning team. Teams have until Friday, March 1, 2024, to let us know that they are returning.

Registration for new teams: Your team can be placed on a league’s waiting list at any time by contacting Jayson Powell, Adult Sports program coordinator, at (206) 684-7092 or email jayson.powell@seattle.gov. We will begin adding new teams to leagues starting Monday, March 4, 2024 (this process may take a few weeks). 

Any league openings after returning team registration will be filled from the league waiting list. Teams will be placed on this list in order of when the team’s captain called or emailed.

Men's 7v7 Flag Football - Reign City League

Winter Men’s 7V7 is here! The season starts early February. Teams are guaranteed 8 games including playoffs. Games will be played at north Seattle playfield locations. The league fee is $675 per team.

Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Reign City Flag Football League will kick off its winter season in February. Games will be double headers on Fridays. Teams are guaranteed 8 games including playoffs. Games will be played at north Seattle playfield locations. The league fee is $775 per team.

Track and Field

The Patti Petesch Seattle Parks Preview Track & Field Masters Meet will be held on June 1, 2024 at West Seattle Stadium. Events start at 8:30am. Hosted by Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Masters Athletic Club, and Get Strong First Track Club. Event schedules and registration information

Lawn bowling (seasonal)

In the fair weather months, bowl outdoors for mental and physical well-being. Keep active; walk, bend, stretch, and roll bowls on wonderful, manicured greens. Good fellowship accompanies games. Come and learn about this fascinating game and try it for fun! Be sure to wear flat-soled shoes. Bowls provided at the Club House. Sign-up, call in, or drop by.
