Don Armeni Boat Ramp Improvement

The public works contract with American Construction has been executed. They mobilized onsite on Jan. 16. On-site Work will take about 2 months to complete. One float will be open at all times during construction.

The permit, NWS-2018-1191-WRD - Don Armeni, has been under review since early June 2021 and has been moved forward for Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultation.

The in-water work windows for Elliott Bay is July through February and dictates the timing for in-water work. We will not shut the facility down during construction, we will replace the floats one side at a time. One Float will remain open during construction for launching and retrieval.

The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office Boating Facilities Grant and Seattle Parks and Recreation fund this project.

Project Description

Renovate existing failing two boat ramps. Scope of work includes, demolition of existing concrete abutment, pile driving and installation of steel piles, installation of new concrete abutment, procuring and installation of concrete floating docks and hardware.
