Seattle's 2018-2023 Consolidated Plan For Housing and Community Development

The City of Seattle announces the adoption of the 2018-2023 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development. The 2018-2023 Consolidated includes  guidance for the allocation of an estimated $17 million of federal grant and program revenue funds [approximately $9.8 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4.2 million in HOME program funds, $796,000 in Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG) funds and $2.3 million in Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) funds] from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Consolidated Plan responds to HUD requirements for the City of Seattle to access these funds. The Plan outlines strategies to address the housing, homeless, community and economic needs of the City's low and moderate-income residents and neighborhoods over the next five years.

The City of Seattle revised the 2014 Annual Action Plan to the 2014-2017 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development. The substantial amendment repurposed $128,403 of CDBG underspend from 2014 to Office of Economic Development (OED) King Street Station activities and Section 108 loan repayment activities as part of this Consolidated Plan.

The Consolidated Plan responds to HUD requirements for the City of Seattle to access these funds. The Plan outlines strategies to address the housing, homeless, community and economic needs of the City's low and moderate-income residents and neighborhoods over the next five years.
