Seattle Fire Day
We are excited to host a fire education day for children and adults alike on Saturday, August 24 at the Stan Sayres Memorial Park at the Mount Baker Rowing & Sailing Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Join us between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to learn about being fire safe and how to avoid other injuries commonly experienced by children and youth. Highlights include:
- Story times with local firefighters
- Tours of an engine, ladder and aid car
- Search and rescue demonstrations by a fire dog
- Exploring a Seattle fireboat
- Learning about water safety from rescue swimmers
- Educational activities, lessons and crafts from Seattle Fire and partners
Parking is available at nearby Genessee Park on Lake Washington Boulevard, and bus routes also serve the site.
