Meet the Team
Health One is staffed with a crew of experienced, highly trained, and dedicated professionals who are exceptionally dedicated to serving our clients.
The firefighters who work on Health One are all Emergency Medical Technicians with at least one year of experience in SFD. All Health One firefighters volunteer to join the program, and work either full-time on the rigs or overtime between their regular shifts. Back in the Operations companies, Health One-qualified firefighters can bring their training to bear on responses and helping train colleagues.
Health One case managers are hired for their experience with challenging clients, working in the field, and navigating a multitude of systems. They are skilled at everything from crisis intervention to benefits enrollment and are fierce advocates for their clients.
All team members receive training on responding to behavioral emergencies, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, safety in responses, and much more.
LYNN
I feel honored and privileged to work with this incredible Team of people doing such vital work in our community. The partnership between Seattle Fire Department Firefighters and Aging and Disability Services Case managers provides us with the dexterity, agility and brain power to identify and address incredibly complex situations. The natural tenacity and problem solving nature of Firefighters and the public trust afforded to Seattle Fire Dept paired with our “Super Power” intelligent and incredibly resourceful, savvy and connected Case managers allow us to provide thorough and effective advocacy for our clients and get them appropriately connected to the resources available to them in the community. Our Health One Teams make a real difference in improving the lives of Seattle’s citizens and I’m privileged to be of service.
