CPR Training

The Seattle Fire Department offers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking intervention training to Seattle community members. Seattle Fire’s CPR instructor cadre is trained and certified by Health and Safety Institute (HSI) to teach hands-only CPR and certification CPR/AED classes. SFD’s CPR training program is funded by donations from class attendees.

  • Businesses and organizations can schedule a CPR instructor to teach at your facility if it is located within city limits. The SFD does not cover costs for reserving rooms at a facility.
  • Public and private schools in Seattle at the middle and high school grade levels can schedule a CPR instructor to provide a class at your school.
  • Individuals seeking training can attend a pre-scheduled class.

For classes outside of Seattle, please contact our regional partner, the Medic One Foundation

All class requests must be made at least four weeks in advance.
