Contact the Benchmarking Help Desk
If you can't find what you need to comply on the Instructions page, you can contact the help desk for support. The Benchmarking help desk provides free technical assistance for building owners, managers, and service providers to complete the compliance process for annual energy and emissions reporting. To support customers with varying needs we provide multiple options to connect with help desk staff.
Email help desk staff at energybenchmarking@seattle.gov for general inquiries or guidance to complete the benchmarking process. Please provide the name of your building, address or building ID (if known). All email inquiries will be responded to in 3-5 business days.
Phone
Call the benchmarking phone line at (206) 727-8484 to leave a voicemail message. Voicemail messages must include your name, name of building, address or building ID (if known), and a number to receive a return phone call. All voicemail messages are responded to in 3-5 business days. Please note, this is not a live phone line.
Sign Up for a Virtual Appointment
Use the scheduling tool to sign up for assistance with setting up buildings in Portfolio Manager, completing the enrollment process for automated utility uploads, troubleshooting data errors, and Portfolio Manager account review for those who benchmark campuses or own/manage multiple buildings. 1-1 appointments are best suited for users that have started the benchmarking process and need assistance updating existing Portfolio Manager accounts.
Attend Virtual Office Hours
Help desk hosts virtual office hours (in small groups) on most Tuesdays from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (PST) from April to October. The virtual office hours held over Zoom are a drop-in format and provide customers an opportunity to ask questions about the benchmarking policy and compliance process. Virtual office hours are open to everyone, but best suited to assist folks new to the benchmarking compliance process that need assistance getting started. Register for office hours here.
