Early Learning Division Director

DEEL is currently seeking an Early Learning Division Director who will oversee and direct the Early Learning Division, which is the largest division within the department. Reporting to the Deputy Director, this person will direct and manage all of the City's investments in early learning, develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders (including early learning partners, advocates, labor unions, school districts, other government entities, and elected officials), oversee the Division's investment strategy in the evolving early learning landscape, and develop policy and program proposals for the Mayor and City Council for these programs and new investments.

Accounting Technician III

DEEL is currently seeking to fill an Accounting Technician III position as an integral role on our accounting team. DEEL administers the Families, Education, Preschool, and Promise (FEPP) Levy, as well as other funding sources to support Seattle's children and students. This position's duties include monitoring and processing purchase order activities; processing invoices for timely payment for schools, community-based agencies, and consultants using the City's PeopleSoft financial system; and assisting and answering questions for agencies related to invoice and payment status, among other responsibilities.

Early Learning Program Specialist

DEEL is looking for two Early Learning Program Specialists who will monitor and assess the quality of child care and early learning programs that contract with DEEL and provide technical assistance and training to support programs in meeting DEEL's program quality standards.
