Check For Unpaid Tickets
If you have lost or misplaced your ticket or want to search to see if you have a ticket, you can find this information in the Seattle Municipal Court Portal.
Search by license plate
To search for a vehicle related infraction like a parking ticket using a license plate number:
Select 'Search' from the portal home page. You can select the 'Search For Records' button on the tile below Announcements or the 'Search' option from the left-hand menu.
Select 'Citation Search' from the Search Type Selection menu.
Insert the license plate number in the 'Cited Party Name' field.
Select the 'Search' button near the bottom of the form.
Search by name
To search for hearing information using a name:
Select 'Search' from the portal home page. You can select the 'Search For Records' button on the tile below Announcements or the 'Search' option from the left-hand menu.
Select 'Party Search' from the Search Type Selection menu.
Insert the name in the 'Name' field under 'Party Criteria' field. You may also select Infraction in the 'Case Category' field. If you now the date or date range for when the infraction occurred, you can enter this in the 'Case Filed Date' field.
Select the 'Search' button near the bottom of the form.
Four or More Unpaid Parking Tickets
If you have four or more unpaid parking tickets, your vehicle may be:
- Immobilized with a boot, a wheel-locking device. A boot may be placed on your vehicle whether it is legally or illegally parked.
- Towed or impounded in accordance with the City of Seattle Scofflaw Ordinance.
