About the 2025-2026 Proposed Budget

Mayor Bruce Harrell announced his proposed budget for 2025-2026 on September 24, 2024. The proposal balances a large projected budget gap while investing in critical services and affordable housing.

The Mayor’s proposed budget was submitted to the Seattle City Council, which will hold public hearings on the proposed budget, make amendments, and ultimately vote to adopt the final budget in late November.
