Success Stories
A few years ago, the City of Seattle completed three intensive rounds of a study which proved that households can live happily - and save lots of money - with one less car. The demonstration provided the groundwork for the current One Less Car Challenge, by showing how effective and helpful this kind of program can be.
Below are some of the results from the three intensive demonstration rounds. Take a look and learn more about others’ experiences getting around with one less car!
Results from Demo Study III - 2002
- 41 households participated and saved 25,763 miles of neighborhood traffic in just 9 weeks. More results.
