West Nile Virus

West Nile virus (WNV) is spread by infected mosquitoes and can be a serious health threat to people, birds and animals. Infected mosquitoes and animals have been found in Washington State during past years. The City of Seattle responds to the West Nile virus threat by helping people learn how to protect themselves and by reducing mosquito breeding on City properties.
