In September 2005, the Seattle City Council unanimously approved projects to be funded through the second cycle of the Pro Parks Levy Opportunity Fund, including approximately $200,000 to develop a new or expanded park in the University District.

Planning for this development project will begin after Seattle Parks has purchased property for the new or expanded park. Acquisition funding was provided in the first cycle of the Opportunity Fund.

LOCATION
BUDGET	The second cycle of the Pro Parks Opportunity Fund provides approximately $200,000 to develop property acquired through the first cycle of the Opportunity Fund in the University District, and/or to supplement acquisition if needed.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In the first cycle of the Pro Parks Levy Opportunity Fund, funding was provided to acquire property for a new or expanded park in the University District.

In the second cycle of the Opportunity Fund, funding was provided to supplement acquisition, if needed, and to develop the site that is acquired.
