PROJECT STATUSThank you, Seattle. This project is complete! The dedication celebration was held May 19, 2007 during the Delridge Days and Resource Fair. This project was delayed when Parks received higher-than-expected bids for the improvement project. Parks and the designer scaled back the project design, and the project was successfully re-bid in spring 2006. The plans were updated to accommodate rising construction material costs. The changes/reductions are as follows (update plan below):
This development project will create one contiguous open space/park that includes the following passive and active recreational elements: unscheduled sports fields, playgrounds, plazas, picnic shelters, tables, benches, renovation of the P-patch, development of a grass court for lawn bowling and croquet type activities, tables, benches and wooded areas with native vegetation. The parks were designed by Cascade Design Collaborative.
