SEATTLE — Members of the city’s new Public-Private Partnership Review Panel
will meet this week to select the remaining five panelists. Ten panelists have already
been selected — five by the mayor and five by the City Council. The City Council
resolution establishing the panel requires that the initial 10 panelists select five more,
for a total of 15. The goal is to have all 15 panelists selected and ready to review
specific projects by the end of March.
The meeting will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., March 23, in room 221 of the Municipal
Building (600 Fourth Ave., 2nd floor). No projects will be reviewed at this
meeting.
The panel is part of the city’s new process (called P4) for reviewing
public-private partnerships. P4 Panelists will provide expert review of public-benefits
elements of certain public-private partnerships between the city and private or nonprofit
entities.
