In the recent past, city resources have been disproportionately funneled into corporate projects like sports stadiums and parking garages. It is time to refocus our resources on neighborhoods and quality of life issues. Curt Firestone has been active in politics and social services for over 3 decades. His work has focused on the need to improve environmental stewardship and services for families and our more vulnerable residents. Community leadership: Chair, King County Family Planning Advisory Board Vice President of the Washington State Rainbow Coalition Co-founder of the Seattle Progressive Coalition Coordinating Council Member of the Green Party Political experience: First Vice President of the 37th District Democrats Three time delegate to the Washington State Democratic Convention Professional experience: 17 years as Executive Director and Administrator for county mental health and non-profit developmental disabilities organizations 13 years self-employed tax consultant business Curt Firestone and his wife, Gwen McDonald, RN, reside in the Leschi community.
