Seattle has always believed in fairness. We believe that the family next door should have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. Curt Firestone has one objective - to ensure that Seattle is a compassionate, cohesive, well-managed city.
Currently, Seattle is feeling the effect of a slumping economy and is going to have to make hard budgetary decisions. Curt Firestone understands your values. Our priorities must be: public safety and security while ensuring civil rights, human and health services, and maintenance of existing services. Curt Firestone will work closely with you, listen and make hard decisions in a way that will minimize their impact on your lives.
Firestone has worked with the Monorail Board and campaigned to pass I-53, saving the monorail. His opponent, Jan Drago, voted to dissolve the Monorail Board.
Firestone is for affordable well-maintained housing and protection of renter's rights. Drago voted against an ordinance designed to protect tenants from landlord harassment.
SEATTLE NEEDS A CHANGE FROM THE PAST. WE NEED NEW LEADERSHIP.
Now more than ever, we need Curt Firestone on the City Council.
