I'm Edsonya Charles and I'm asking for your vote for Seattle City Attorney. I have the quality legal experience we need and the ability to bring the people of Seattle together at this critical time. I am a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Fraud Division. I have past experience in private legal practice specializing in land use, and was recognized as Outstanding Young Attorney by the King County Bar. As a former executive director of the Seattle Human Services Coalition and an advocate for persons with disabilities, I understand the needs of people and know how to manage a professional staff. Four of Seattle's former mayors — Norm Rice, Wes Uhlman, Charles Royer and Gordon Clinton, leaders who worked closely with our previous City Attorneys and know what it takes to do this job well — have endorsed me as the candidate with the right knowledge, background and personal qualities for this important job.
