Welcome to the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission Web Site The SEEC is an independent City Commission that administers and enforces four codes covering Ethics, Elections, Whistleblower Protection, and Lobbying. The six member staff investigates allegations of wrongdoing and provides advice and training to all levels of government. The Commission has the authority to impose fines for violations of the Ethics, Elections, and Lobbying Disclosure Codes.
In the Ethics section of this site you will find information on the Ethics Code and rules that apply to City of Seattle employees, officials, volunteers, and certain contractors. This section also contains answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding the City's Ethics Code. The Elections section of this site is intended to help citizens make informed voting decisions. Here you will find the financial disclosure reports of Seattle election campaigns past and present, the City's public disclosure regulations, electronic filing instructions, and the City's voters' guides. The Lobbying section has information regarding regulations that require paid City lobbyists to register and disclose their lobbying income and expenses, and provides lobbyist eFiling applications. In the Whistleblower section of this site you will find a copy of the City's Whistleblower Protection law, as well as help for City employees who want to be part of the solution by reporting gross misconduct or wrongdoing. The Commission section includes information about current Commissioners; our Administrative Rules and Procedures; and the schedule, agendas, and minutes of our public meetings, as well as media advisories.
