Below are pictures from our Nov 2006 Traffic Circle Tree Planting & Tile-laying.

The rainy weekend of November 4th and 5th saw neighborhood volunteers out planting trees, plants and spring bulbs in the traffic circles on Dearborn and Judkins.  About 20 people helped plant 4 trees, about 100 different types of perennial plants and about 860 bulbs.  Come spring time you'll see little purple and white crocus, yellow narcissus (daffodils) and multi-colored tulips.  It should be a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy.  Art tiles painted by community members over the summer were also installed at 26th and Dearborn.  There are more to be installed, so watch for them.  Thanks to the St. Gebriel Ethiopian Church for letting us use their space to enjoy pizza and salad after the work was done.
